  I definitely agree that St. Louis by far is a baseball/ Cardinals town above all other sports.   Yet,  the combination of bad ownership over the decades  ( Bill Bidwell through Stan Kroenke),   very few winning teams other than the years of the Greatest Show on Turf,   and the baseball Cardinals being an elite winning organization much more often than not very likely has contributed to St. Louis collectively not having tremendous passion for the Rams.   And before the Rams,  the football Cardinals.   

 

  If St. Louis had winning teams and was still not a passionate football town,   then I would be comfortable with them losing another NFL team.    But with the Rams horrific history over the last decade and the willingness of St. Louis to build a new stadium for the Rams,   I think it would be a major mistake by the NFL if the league approves the Rams relocation.    It could set the stage for other teams to move under similar circumstances.
