No, but I have studied it a bit. I was a bit of an overachiever throughout school to the point where I technically earned my AA before my high school diploma through the dual enrollment program where I live. During this process I ended up taking four bio classes - two in high school, two in college. That gives me a slight amount of formal study in biology but it isn't where I learned most of what I do know about it. I actually enjoy learning and I love science (especially anything to do with space), so I spend most of my free time reading up on or watching videos about various sciences and a few other things. Biology has come up a time or two in my non-formal studies. It's only behind astrophysics and religion (though I'm not religious, but I won't go into that here) at this point.


I'm actually an Information Technology major though. I've been a self taught programmer since the age of 11 (seven years ago) and have come to the conclusion that most people don't understand anything I ever say when I talk about it. When it comes to biology and whatnot people generally have at least a high school level education which means that the discussions can be a bit more fruitful than "sure, I'll take your word for it."
