If I could sum up this entire week in one sentence...

#1

It would be: "Any given Sunday."

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-8) vs Tennessee Titans (4-4) Winner: Jacksonville Jaguars

St. Louis Rams (3-6) vs Indianapolis Colts (6-2) Winner: St. Louis Rams

Carolina Panthers (5-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (6-2) Winner: Carolina Panthers (Might not have been that shocking, but nobody would have expected the 49ers to be held to only 9 points.)

Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) vs Baltimore Ravens (3-5) Winner: Baltimore Ravens

Washington Redskins (3-5) vs Minnesota Vikings (1-7) Winner: Minnesota Vikings

If the Bucs win tonight (Which I actually hope they do), than that would be the icing on the cake.

The shocker in Baltimore was not that the Ravens won, but the fact they needed overtime to do it. A.J. Green said it was all luck that he caught a Hail Mary pass, so the Ravens should have won their game in regulation.

Carolina is surprising me in geneal this season. I did not expect the Panthers to have a winning record.

I knew the Jaguars could win, but was not expecting it.

I want you to examine this sentence critically.   That sentence, "What does not kill you makes you stronger" is not true.   There are many things in life that do not kill you but do not make you stronger.   For instance, marijuana does not kill you, but it does not make you stronger.

I am surprised you can still read that. Apparently all signatures have been disabled again.

That quote is from my former supervisor, BTW.

Oxygen will kill you too. The aerobic reactions within the body can produce free-radicals and peroxides that damage the components of cells. This damage is what is theorized to cause aging which gets even the healthiest of people in the end.

I suppose it makes you stronger for awhile too, but in the end it will kill.

That's the third time you talked all smart and got me confused! You need to stop with that!

Poor example. Lots of people have used the Jane and credited it with aiding in some of their best ideas.

No, but I have studied it a bit. I was a bit of an overachiever throughout school to the point where I technically earned my AA before my high school diploma through the dual enrollment program where I live. During this process I ended up taking four bio classes - two in high school, two in college. That gives me a slight amount of formal study in biology but it isn't where I learned most of what I do know about it. I actually enjoy learning and I love science (especially anything to do with space), so I spend most of my free time reading up on or watching videos about various sciences and a few other things. Biology has come up a time or two in my non-formal studies. It's only behind astrophysics and religion (though I'm not religious, but I won't go into that here) at this point.

I'm actually an Information Technology major though. I've been a self taught programmer since the age of 11 (seven years ago) and have come to the conclusion that most people don't understand anything I ever say when I talk about it. When it comes to biology and whatnot people generally have at least a high school level education which means that the discussions can be a bit more fruitful than "sure, I'll take your word for it."

Not entirely true.

First off, Mike Nugent missed an easy FG early in the game, which would've made the Hail Mary the game winning TD for the Bengals. That was lucky for the Ravens.

Second, the Bengals defense played lights out. The Ravens did not score a single point in the second half,,, nothing.

Third,, one of the Ravens first half TDs came off s very short field after a ridiculous turnover. It was basically a gimme TD.

The Ravens were very fortunate to win last week. Bengals offense was terrible, and they still should've won the game.

Your former supervisor is Kelly Clarkson?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Not to derail the thread, but keep it up man. I always admire young kids doing it like you are, the AA as you graduate Highschool. Trust me when you're pushing 30 with a family of 6 going back to school because you finally figured out you don't know everything is a hard pill to swallow.
