I believe there are things that white people aren't allowed to do because of their skin color and there are things that males aren't allowed to do because of their gender. His answer was no, there isn't (outside of gender physical impossibilities). I simply listed one double standard I experience on a day to day basis, which still fits the original question because of they key word OR.

 

I kinda get where you're coming from with this and, surprisingly, I don't think you're completely wrong. I think there is a bit of confusion/distortion regarding the base nature of your question, though.

 

I'll just say that I personally think there are very few things you are prohibited from doing due to being white. I'm sitting here trying to wrack my brain thinking of things you absolutely, positively are barred from doing because of behind white and I can't think of any off hand, although I'm going to admit ignorance here and say that there likely are (minority scholarships/grants spring to mind, but there are ways around that afaik).

 

There are infinitely more things you are prohibited from doing for being male. Your occupational environment is among them.

 

So while I don't personally disagree with your point, it does not invalidate white male privilege either when you put that against the privileges of everyone else (imo).
