I think you can certainly make a case for Derek Carr.  He is throwing for 40 less yards per game, 5 less total TD's, but 4 less INT's, QB rating is 10 points higher and accuracy is 6.6% higher.  Bortles has been sacked 17 times to Carrs 7 times.  Bortles has also been able to avoid a lot more sacks than most QB's could, but we will just stick to the numbers.  Carr has played one less game and that could of course help or hurt his stats.  Anyways, up to this point you could easily make arguments for either one.  You said he is light years ahead and then talk about objectivity?  I mean, I'm all for objective and as I said, you can make a case for Carr depending on your argument, but lights years ahead would imply there is no case which is, well, not the case.
