Jacksonville Jaguars Vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (race for the #1 overall pick)
|
Quote:Well, those are your words not mine - I'm not sure he'll have 60,000 yards in the NFL like Peyton (even Peyton never would have had that without having the great weapons he had for much of his career and coaches willing to let him sling the rock) , but his command of the position/ game deserves him to be mentioned with the THREE QB prospects I mentioned as a comparison. He's clearly a top level QB prospect and you are on DRUGS if you think Teddy Bridgewater will be available outside the TOP pick, let alone outside the top 2....and this is with a DE prospect in the SAME draft that many consider amongst the best DE prospects in a decade or 2.Well, you're not the only one around here that thinks that much about Bridgewater. A lot of time between now and the draft, so maybe I'll come around to your way of thinking. But not right now. He isn't even getting the love Sam Bradford did on a national scale. Things stay status quo, and he'll be available at #2. And I may be on DRUGS and all, but when was the last time you wanted a winning season out of the Jags? In 2010, you wanted us to lose so Del Rio would be fired. In 2011, you wanted us to lose so that Del Rio would be fired AND so we could secure the first pick in the draft. In 2012, you wanted us to lose so Mularkey AND Gene Smith would be fired, and dreaded every chance we had to win a game - just in case. Now you want us to lose to secure a QB that is not considered the greatest prospect of a generation, and not even the best of the last 2 years. When will you ever root for this team to win? Next year? Somehow, I doubt it. It's a weird way to be a fan. |
