Before The Force Awakens came out, I said that I thought Episode 8 would be the best Star Wars of all time IF The Force Awakens was good. Now that it's good, I have no doubt that EP8 will be the best movie top to bottom


1. No screen time consuming character set up

-Movie was great, but we did need introductions to Rey, Finn, Kylo, and Poe. EP8 we can just jump right into the story and begin to have some of our questions answered. getting right into the action could make, for me at least, a condensed movie in the Force Awakens feel more fleshed out in EP8.


2. Rian Johnson is a better director than JJ

JJ Abrams is a great director, no doubt about it. But Rian Johnson is the better director and story teller. Not just in Looper, but Brick and The Brothers Bloom, he's a slightly executed of directing. In my opinion


3. We are already invested in the character

-from Kylo Ren to Finn, we finally care about these characters. No Count Dooku or Grievous, but characters we can sink our teeth in. That with the new technology and filmmaking magic of 2015 should mix together to add up to a classic.


7 was great, but definitely a set up film/bridge. The real movie is 8.
