You are probably not completely alone, I have seen a few other say that and in truth it didn't measure up to the original, largely because the story seemed to be a repetition of the original story.  But it is entertaining as long as you don't allow yourself to analyze things to much.  

 

People don't seem to like the prequels either.  They're flawed true, but at least they stand on their own because they tell a different story.  The Force Awakens almost felt more like a reboot than a sequel.  Well, that's JJ.
