If Khan had been successful in buying the Rams, doesn't it stand to reason that Kroenke, whose only goal in buying a team was to be the guy that moved it to LA, would have thrown a wad of cash and an airtight NDA onto Wayne Weaver's desk?

Weaver had more than one interested party looking to buy the team at the time. Only Khan was willing to give any sort of guarantee that he'd keep the team here for any specified length of time.


The big concern in St. Louis when Khan made his bid for the Rams was that he would move the team having no ties to the St Louis community. When Kroenke stepped in, they saw him as their knight in shining armor.


There was another group that was trying to buy the team with a plan to keep it in STL that had MO natives involved including Rush Limbaugh of all people. Their bid was shot down early on.


At the end of the day, we ended up with the right owner.
