I don't use google to determine what I believe in a prospect. I use my eyes. Spence is a beast. Plus, I bet if you look up Spence on google all you will see is how impressive he has been and that he is absolutely a first round pick, etc.


Projections stink. Justin Houston went 3rd round, 70th overall. If he were in this draft with the known fact that he would be this good, he would be a top 10 pick easily.

 

This is where you and others miss where value factors in.

 

If you redraft Houston, where do you take him?

 

3rd round, exactly where he went.  You don't pay more for what you can take for less.

 

Vontaze Burfict is a great example.  Fell much later than he should have - went completely undrafted, but that's where the value met the risk.  And, like most that fall, that risk has had it's consequences.

 

Bottom line... Spence isn't worth selecting with our first pick.  To think otherwise isn't putting everything into perspective.  It's not Madden.
