Trent Dilfer was the Ravens QB in 2000. Yet, he was discarded despite fitting the puzzle of a team that had a dominant Defense and strong running game. All Dilfer had to do basically is not lose the game and make an occasional key throw with opponents focus on containing the run.

Basically, my point is that unless the Broncos believe Brock Osweiler is a Franchise QB, they shouldn't invest big money in him if it's going to cost them one or more starters on Defense that contributed greatly to the Broncos having a differential Defense in the 2015 season.
