It's not "Wasting" a pick to choose Ramsey. You're getting way too caught up in something as meaningless as what his listed position is. It doesn't matter. He will play every position in the secondary. Once Weddle retires he can take over at FS. When you're drafting Ramsey you're not looking at what specific position he is playing, you're looking at his versatility and the fact that he can be your long term solution at several spots in the secondary depending on your team's needs.

Ramsey isn't nearly stout enough to play SS in the league.  He is a launcher and arm tackler, not someone who will wrap up and then run through a 230 pound running back.  You see Cyprien getting run over by running backs and then imagine skinny Ramsey get eaten for lunch.

 

To answer the original question:  I think it would be about league average.

Ramsey can add 10 pounds on his frame easily. I'm not really concerned about that. As for his tackling form, I agree, that can be addressed though. There aren't a lot of guys who come out of college sure tacklers.
