1.)  It is mine too.  Some are approaching it as we have all this cap space so who cares if we grossly, grossly, grossly overpay players, when in reality, since every player will be getting proportionately larger raises, the space isn't as large as it would appear.

 

2.) Jared Odrick, a very similar player in both role and production, signed last offseason for $8.5 million.  I think that would more or less set Malik Jackson's market value at $9 million had he had his 2015 season in 2014 and was a free agent last offseason.

 

3.) I'm not panicking.  I'm trying to explain to people that it would be a bad idea.  That you would greatly regret having signed him at the end of the season when you realize how much of the cap you invested into a player for 4 or 5 sack and how many more players you could have had instead of him.
