Malik Jackson likely hitting open market

Quote:Yeah, and then when you give Bortles over $20 million and ARob $14 or $15 million and then you realized you wasted half of your remaining space on a DE/DT that splits his time and gets 4 or 5 sacks what will the difference between Jacksonville and Miami be?

Thats why you front load the contract so by year one or two the contract is re-adjusted to market value. That way if they need to cut them its all good and if they keep producing then you have a good players for less than their true value in years 3-5.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
