If the Jags can gain some value by fetching some draft picks and using a mid first rounder (or later) to nab McCarron and then also use a day 3 pick on a QB like Aaron Murray, I wouldn't have too much of a problem with that. 

 

I'm starting to buy in to gaining some momentum here at the end of the season by finishing strong. 

 

I'm also starting to warm to the notion that there are other QB that we can win with other than Teddy Bridgewater, even though I think he's still the best of the class. I think I fear the Texans getting him more than I fear the Jags not being able to find another one. 

 

The 2014 draft and the 2013 season's success could very well decide on how bridgewater turns out. If he turns out to be a middle of the road QB, Then I'll be at peace. IF he turns out a tier 1/2 QB such as manning, brady, rivers, brees, Kaepernick, newton, etc. then its going to hurt and we will have gifted 2 franchise QBs to 2 division rivals.

 

My eye test says Bridgewater never goes over middle of the pack. Mariotta will either be a top 10 QB or a complete Gabbert bust, Mccarron will be barkley 2.0, David Carr screams Joe Flacco to me (which is why Id rather him than anyone), Murray at best is another wilson but will never be a top tier QB based on measurables.

 

Gimme Carr in the 2nd round with possibly Murray in the 4th. If we get both, Id be pretty at peace with our QB situation going forward
