That trade is just way to risky for a team like the jaguars. The payoff just isnt as high (pun intended) as we need it to be in order to take the risk. We can draft a rusher in the 2nd and have them at low cost for 4 years when we are ready to make a run next year. Hell we may draft a player better than Jones without the drug issues.

I absolutely think getting Jones would've made us a playoff contender. Let's say we get a Myles Jack in the 1st and got Jones with our 2nd. Our D would have been head and shoulders better than last year.


DL - Jones, Jackson, Miller, Odrik, Fowler, Marks

LB - Telvin, Poz, Jack, Skuta

DB - Gipson, House, Prince, Colvin, Cyp/Sample


That D with our O would've made us the favorites in the South this year.
