I'm not sure how much weight from the input of Shack Harris that Lions G.M Martin Mayhew put into the decision making process in signing Montell Owens and Rashean Mathis this year. Owens and Mathis are the only current Lions that were in Jacksonville when Shack Harris was still the Jaguars G.M.   All of the other former Jaguars that have been with the Lions this season came to Jacksonville after Harris was out of the Jaguars picture.   Even Don Carey didn't come to the Jaguars until 2009,  months after the Harris era ended in Jax.  

 

Shack Harris is a Senior Personnel Executive with the Lions but has had a very low public profile since coming to Detroit in the winter of 2009.   I can't even recall Harris being interviewed even one time by a media member that covers the Lions.   The only time I recall seeing a Harris quote since he came to Detroit was when former Baltimore Ravens Owner Art Modell passed away in September, 2012.   Harris of course worked for Art Modell in Baltimore before coming to Jacksonville in 2003.
