Or can also be possible that they are being contacted in advance by a team around pick 15 or beyond that and a potential offer like "if picks 3 and 4 go a certain way, we offer this package and we'll contact you on the clock with you knowing what offer we'd make you and what players would be available. If picks 3 and 4 go the wrong way for us then no trade scenario with us".

 

Perhaps we are even overthinking everything ahaha it's just these last couple of days are going reaaaally slow
