Who has cut the cord?

Quote:I won't in the future, I will say for all you people in the generation that thinks people like me are computer whiz's. We are not, knowing how to google can teach you how to do just about anything on a beginner level. So when your computer has an error code... google the error code. When you want to know how to cut the cord. Google alternatives to cable. Knowing how to google and what you can google is the equivalent to knowing how to read. LOL, I don't think the initial post that bunnie put up is referring much to what you posted up, it was more about what I posted. I posted that I "can" watch stuff that is illegally hosted and/or shared on the internet if I wanted to and described the legally available hardware that I use along with the openly available legal and free software that I use. I also pointed out in my post that I personally don't do it and raised the question of legality vs. ethical. Me personally, I don't do what probably 90% of people on this board do. I don't use pirated software, I don't download mp3 music that is not free and I don't download pirated video content. While yes all of that is easy to do, it also opens up a major flaw. The fact of the matter is, it's all there and pretty easily accessible if one does just a little bit of research. Discussing the use of a proxy or VPN isn't really "promoting" anything illegal just like describing available commercial off-the-shelf hardware and/or freely available open source software. It's all about how you use it. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
