Blackmon was more talented, and it isn't particularly close. He was a rare talent. It was unfortunate that his demons were similarly exceptional. It's not really worth debating, though since he's gone and not coming back.

My sentiments as well. Surprised more didn't feel this way. Blackmon, to me is in the Julio/AB class, if we equate eras that is. ARob, as outstanding as he is, like Green, Hopkins, Blackmon's OK State wingman - Bryant, Beckham are all in tier 2, to me.


Blackmon's #s pale in comparison indeed, and I agree with the dissappear in stretches take. But he can get you 300 yards in one game after 3 sub 70 games. That's how good he was, and that's a plausible pattern of #s for players of his caliber. When he was on, it was transcendent.
