The universe gave us Allen Hurns as an undrafted free agent to make up for it so it doesn't sting as much these days.

Wasn't that the little girl Blackmon went to go see in the hospital and everyone used that event to portray Blackmon as a saint who just made an isolated mistake after his first run in with the law?

He's made some very foolish decisions to get behind the wheel while drunk, but I don't doubt that he's actually a decent guy.

We need a healthy dose of Elsa up in here.

It's a pipe dream, but imagine if he did make a comeback and somehow won a Super Bowl with the Jaguars. Would be a great inspirational story for players/people that are battling addictions.

Is a shame to see rare athletic talent wasted. Would be a far greater shame to see life wasted. Hope he's doin well and movin on.

It's nice to see the positive he did make in someone's life, instead of just dissing on him for his addiction.

Interesting that he is still wearing the ALL bracelet.

The All-American disappointment is the fact that we're still talking about this guy.

It's a sad story, and it shows just how devastating addiction can be, and how it doesn't discriminate between good and bad people.  Blackmon has a problem that has ended his career, and endangers his life, and ultimately, he is the only person who can shake those demons and start again.  Clearly there's a good person in there who is simply unable to beat this thing. Hopefully it doesn't have a tragic ending, and he's able to find a way to overcome this.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

So it's disappointing that we are talking about this guy as a human being and hoping he can get his [BLEEP] together?
