He's made some very foolish decisions to get behind the wheel while drunk, but I don't doubt that he's actually a decent guy.

It's a pipe dream, but imagine if he did make a comeback and somehow won a Super Bowl with the Jaguars. Would be a great inspirational story for players/people that are battling addictions.

Is a shame to see rare athletic talent wasted. Would be a far greater shame to see life wasted. Hope he's doin well and movin on.

The All-American disappointment is the fact that we're still talking about this guy.

It's a sad story, and it shows just how devastating addiction can be, and how it doesn't discriminate between good and bad people.  Blackmon has a problem that has ended his career, and endangers his life, and ultimately, he is the only person who can shake those demons and start again.  Clearly there's a good person in there who is simply unable to beat this thing. Hopefully it doesn't have a tragic ending, and he's able to find a way to overcome this.
