Misrepresented?

 

I think the two were very comparable.

 

We probably had the most if not nearly the most stable quarterback situation in the entire NFL. We had a solid veteran in Brunell. We had an heir in Garrard, and even a spare in Quinn Gray. 

 

Then again, we had a stable quarterback situation with Garrard as the starter and Luke McCown as the back-up. Drafting Gabbert as the heir made sense. That gives you an heir and a spare as well.

 

Yet, in both cases a grave mistake was made involving the veteran.
