Impressions From The Jets Game
|
Quote: I was listening to the radio yesterday, and people were calling in with a lot of angst about those two plays. But my reaction is to thank the Jets for pointing this out to us. And double thank you for repeating it just to make sure we got the message. They had David Garrard on the radio yesterday, the Mike Dempsey show I think, and he said it was pretty simple- they sent one man short and another man behind him just to see if they could get the linebacker (Telvin Smith) to bite on the short pattern. And Telvin bit. Garrard put the blame on Telvin for not getting a deep enough drop. I don't know the truth of it, but I do know that as a long term professional QB, Garrard has credibility with me. Whatever the case, I'm also sure Todd Wash can fix it. |
