It's just the preseason after all; looking good in the preseason and looking good during the regular season are two different things. As I recall, 'he who is not to be named' (aka Gabbert) also tended to look decent during the preseason. We've seen Luke a couple of seasons now... and he has failed to impress; or, you might say he has often failed impressively. Whatever... The bottom line is that unless he does something this season that we've not seen from him before (blocking, that is) then I'd say his time is up here.
