Having only 74 players on the roster does not necessarily mean we will fill a roster spot before the final cut to 53. That would not make any sense.


It makes sense for those of us who understand logic. That extra roster spot gives Dave the opportunity to bring in another guy to evaluate and possibly join the 53. Why would he not take advantage of a free roster spot?
