Those are all good points. And if I was an officer, I'd probably not take kindly to CK's protest a either.


I'm pretty sure I'd want my union to come out with a statement calling out CK.


I just don't agree with the threat to then not volunteer to protect the rest of the players and fans over a few (in this case 1) protester(s).


I get it, it's on a voluntary basis. But why put the entire staduim, players, and fans on blast? In my opinion it makes the police union look small. It's like they are not looking at the bigger picture. And to be honest, it almost makes CK's protest look that much more valid.


The union would have gained a lot more good will had they come out with a statement saying they disagree, but will do their duty to serve and protect him and all those that are lawfully and peacefully exercising their constitutional rights.


That would have have put them on the high ground and probably garnered a lot of positive press from the media and positive sentiment from the entire public they serve.
