Debate 9/26/16 - Trump vs Clinton
|
Quote:I moved down here almost five years ago and still want to know why cable service monopolies are legal in Florida. Mom thinks the only reason we are stuck with Cox is other companies don't want to do business in Alachua County. I don't buy that argument for one second. If federal anti-monopoly laws existed, at least one other company would have to move in whether they like it or not. Cox is terrible and due to being a local monopoly its prices are way out of control. Every year hundreds of customers including my mom call Cox to have their TV service canceled after the Super Bowl because of prices. You can't buy a cable box because they make more money by renting them. It is so expensive because no competitors are in town to keep prices affordable. If you don't like it, get rid of cable. There are other options. |
