Anti-Trump protesters line the streets in Chicago and New York

Quote:I can agree or at least see where your coming from.  I don't condone attacks on any innocent human being of any race.  I just feel that the argument against these groups screaming injustice is the same argument that created the groups in the first place.

Reread your message and tell me that isn't what people have people complaining about for years.....Attacking people for no reason, stealing from them what they feel or know is theirs whether property or whatever, and intimidating the lesser race because the superior race(s) is/are already in control.

I agree that they have every right to feel like they aren't being heard.  You make a terrific point.

I also think that without trust, it will be difficult to those who feel disenfranchised to ever think any progress is made or that their voices are being heard.  Both the progress and level of compassion are very difficult to measure.  And yes, I do believe leaders have not done enough to earn that trust from those who rely on them to listen and help.

I believe progress can be made.  So, I suppose it truly depends on each of us individually, beginning with what is in our hearts.  Within our families, the people we see on a daily basis.  New people we encounter on a daily basis.  So many times we frame or generate our feelings based on what we hear or see in the media, but the only true control we have over anyone's behavior is our own.  We have to be the change we want to see in others.  I only pray enough people feel the same way.  It nearly brought tears to my eyes when my son cried to me because he wanted to look like one of his kindergarten friends.  I fully believe it begins and ends with us, the people coming together.  What we teach our children, how we raise our families, and how we love one another outside our families.  I cannot think of any law or regulation that will change the heart, nor has the power of faith and good deeds.
