Bingo, especially the part in bold.  People are so conditioned to think that it's up to employers and/or government to provide health insurance.  If it was possible to shop around for health insurance I would gladly reject my employer's plan and take a salary increase.

There is a better way.  It's called personal responsibility.  Buy your own insurance and save for your own retirement.
