So much for reading comprehension. I suggest you practice it sometime.

From your article:

"I told him I will look at his suggestions, and out of respect, I will do that," the president-elect said at Trump Tower.

"Either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced."

From the campaign:

http://www.ontheissues.org/2016/Donald_Trump_Health_Care.htm

TRUMP: I agree with that 100%, except pre-existing conditions, I would absolutely get rid of ObamaCare. I want to keep pre- existing conditions. It's a modern age, and I think we have to have it.

Q: The insurance companies say is that the only way that they can cover people with pre-existing conditions is to have a mandate requiring everybody purchase health insurance. Are they wrong?

TRUMP: I think they're wrong 100%. Look, the insurance companies take care of the politicians [and vice-versa]. The insurance companies are making an absolute fortune. Yes, they will keep preexisting conditions, and that would be a great thing.

Sad to see the media still playing these games.

I can read just fine.

From Trump's campaign website:

Quote:But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/healthcare-reform

We went from day one repeal to "well maybe we'll keep parts of it". Staunch difference my friend.

Theres an interview with the Trump family on 60 Minutes Sunday Night. Saw an excerpt of it. He talked about repealing and replacement. Should be a good interview.

"Repeal and replace" has always meant get rid of the whole thing. Guaranteeing health coverage for women, people under 26, pre-existing conditions, etc. would be eliminated with everything else.

So Trump will repeal 90% of Obamacare, leave pre-existing conditions and allowing 26 year-old to stay on parents insurance , but that's "breaking the promise".

That is one promise I'm OK with being broken, I guess.

You know those policies aren't specifically tied to ObamaCare, right? You are basically implying that anything remotely tied to ObamaCare can't be enacted in the new healthcare plan. Why are you lefties being so hard-headed about this? There were a couple good aspects of ObamaCare, and they will be kept around. Why be upset about it?

Anything less than a full repeal is breaking his promise.

The ACA is directly responsible for 26-year old people staying on their parents' insurance plans. It is not the so-called "Obamacare plan" that people buy if they aren't insured, but a new rule that prevents companies from dropping them. Am I right?

Except he said specifically he would keep a few of the policy, but you are too hard-headed to know that.

I guess he will have to repeal those two policies and re-implement them with the same wording but under a different name to keep his promise to JDub.

Pre-disposed Issues.

Sounds nice.

No, Donald Trump Did Not Abandon Promise to Repeal Obamacare
"The mainstream media are reporting that President-elect Donald Trump is giving up on his promise to repeal and replace Obamacare, because he said he would be willing to preserve coverage for pre-existing conditions and allowing children to stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26.

In 2013, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) proposed to repeal and replace Obamacare, introducing the “Empowering Patients First Act,” which provided for those with pre-existing conditions. “[T]o make sure no one is priced out of the health insurance market because of a pre-existing illness or injury, the Empowering Patients First Act provides for the creation of robust pooling plans that would ensure that any one person’s health status does not increase his or her costs or the costs of others in the same pool,” he wrote at the time.

Coverage for pre-existing conditions, and coverage for young people, are relatively minor parts of the overall architecture of Obamacare. Conservatives have long been willing to accept such provisions as compromises, the better to shore up political support for dismantling the system as a whole."

He can repeal it and add those provisions into the new bill. Why are you acting like this is a bad thing?
