Back to Mettenberger, it is hard to say right now how much he will be affected in the draft, but I remember Willis McGahee dropped 20 spots while recovering from multiple ligament tears. If a projection is near the top of a round, he could go to a playoff team in that round. It is anybody's guess how much the injury will hurt him on the second day of the draft.
We should look at other quarterbacks who tore knee ligaments in college, quarterbacks who were unable to run and jump at the combine for medical reasons, and how far they dropped in the draft. |
