Lets be honest. Rick Smith is a TERRIBLE GM and would have to get extremely lucky to hit on a late round franchise QB, so as long as Smith is the GM and they continue drafting in the bottom half of the draft, they will never be an elite franchise. I mean, who pays a guy 72M without working him out? How is Smith still employed?


In closing, the entire division has failed to take advantage of the lull Indy is in and are basically counting on them to continue drafting poorly in order to catch up with them. J.J Watt will likely retire soon because no elite player wants to be a former shell of themselves after multiple surgeries. A guy like that is too prideful and has made too much money.
