MLB him and find another box safety through other means.

 

The way I see it his coverage and athletics would make him a good SS but it wouldn't put him in that over the top Kam Chancellor / Sean Taylor range IMO when compared to other SS's.

 

Now as a LB compared to other LBs he would be considered a monster. Not to bring up madden but one of their concepts does apply here  - the idea that say 85 Man Coverage would be great for a SS but it would be unreal on a MLB.  Remember only hypothetical!!!!!!

As a SS that would likely net a 85 to 90 rating but as a MLB those stats would seem him no less then 95 overall by how its scored against other positions. IMO MLB maximizes what he can bring to us by allowing him to dominate over lesser TEs and RBs over the middle while still being in a position to blitz on occasion and being the main cog in the run defense too.
