What he said is irrelevant to what is actually written in the EO. A Boston judge confirmed this.

 

As for adding more countries, the Press Secretary just confirmed that DHS Secretary Kelly is looking into it, but will not take action until the EO is relieved of its hold.

 

Also, regardless of all this, the President could still legally ban Muslims from immigrating to this country if he wanted, but he isn't. He is taking a different approach and doing it based on high-terror nations.

 

Rand Paul tried to pass a bill that put a hold on 33(!) countries. I would actually prefer Rand Paul's bill over Trump's EO.
