So for you conservatives, is Jerry Falwell Jr okay for higher education?

I'm never surprised at how much conservatives hate public education.  If they want to send their kids to private schools--they can.  Just don't expect to get government money for it.  I'm not sure why they're okay with this.  Government money going everywhere else.  Pick yourself up by your bootstraps and save up money to have your kids attend private schools.  Don't expect taxpayers to fund it.

You don't realize how hypocritical that statement is (the second one).

I'll address your first statement though, there certainly is physical evidence that backs historical texts including the Christian bible along with other ancient texts.  There is also physical evidence that corroborates with what the texts say.  I don't want this to turn into a religious discussion, but much of what we know regarding math as well as other sciences such as astronomy and philosophy comes from the ancient texts.

Regarding your second statement.  It's not just conservatives that hate the current public education indoctrination system.  There are many from all walks of life across the political spectrum that think that the public school system is failing our children.  The thing is, it's not the federal government's job to provide money to schools to begin with.  If they are going to provide money to schools, then they should provide it to ALL schools.  If that means that it's a voucher to parents to help pay for a private school, so be it.  It doesn't matter if the private school is a "religious school" or not, it gives parents (ultimately citizens) a choice in how they want their children educated.

Answer this.  Why should the federal government throw tax payer dollars into public schools vs. a voucher for tax payers to use towards private schools if that's their choice?  The same could be said at the state level of government or even local governments.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.
