The congress dully delegated the authority to the executive to bar "any alien for any class of aliens whos entry into the country could be contrary to the national interest and restrict any alien or class of aliens in any way for any amount of time that he deems appropriate." As Trump correctly stated, a bad high school student can read the intent of the statute. That statute was dully passed by the congress which is given FULL AUTHORITY over immigration in the constitution. The idea that this doesn't meet constitutional muster because we are inventing due process rights for non resident aliens in other countries who have never been to this country.

Trump should accept that his executive order failed, and then while taking into account all of the legal reasoning presented as to why it failed, come up with an entirely new executive order. In this manner he can establish a better relationship with the courts while doing what it takes to protect our nation from ISIS

In a way he can't. 1.) As I stated above THERE IS NO LEGAL REASONING for the court to overturn this executive order. If they don't like it or don't agree with it then that doesn't mean that they have the power to curtail or abolish the power of the executive to exercise its authority over immigration specifically in the arena of national security. 2.) THIS IS THE FIGHT AGAINST ISIS. That's why the executive has this power. If the courts are allowed to [BLEEP] our ability to secure our nation against potential threats without clear evidence of encroaching the constitution then there's no point.
The only reason the left did this is because this was the most liberal circuit in the federal appeals circuit, Sessions had yet to be confirmed so this guy that argued on behalf of the federal government was a third stringer not loyal to the administration and because Gorsuch isn't yet confirmed, the Supreme Court is Split 4-4 and it would take a full 5 justice majority to overturn the ruling.
The President swore an oath to defend the constitution of the united states. That extends to the powers of the executive and those delegated by congress. That includes protecting them from an imperial judiciary.
