Brunell

43 games started, 9,816 yards, 63.8% completion percentage, 53 TDs, 34 INTs.



Leftwich

38 games started, 7,883 yards, 58.6% completion percentage, 44 TDs, 41 INTs


Bortles

46 games started, 11,241 yards, 58.8% completion percentage, 69 TDs, 51 INTs.


Sure, Bortles has to bring down the turnovers and work on the completion percentage, but if you take Brunell as the gold standard (Pride of the Jaguars and all that), Bortles is at least in the conversation.

Yup. Bortles biggest problem is his INTs. But we knew from day one that he'd be a guy who throws a lot of INTs but also a lot of TDs. His rookie year is really making his overall number look worse bc he only threw what, 11tds but 17ints?


With a better run game he'll be able to throw less and in turn take less chances just to keep us in games.


Let's also remember, he's only been out there since what? Late January/beginning of Feb? He's only halfway done with his training out there this year.
