Yes and no, I started out going for the degree to get into a better paying field. Then I ended up staying automotive but I more than doubled my salary with a new company.

I didn't need the degree for this new job but I'm told because I had it combined with my experience at the independent it opened some doors faster than normal.

In a few more years I'm hoping I'll have enough experience and with the degree to get into a roll where I'm not in a physical shop every day. But in the end I like what I do and I'm finally making enough at it were comfortable financially.
