If Solomon Thomas is off the board...

Quote:I discussed this in more depth in a different thread, but let me give the Cliff's notes version.... I agree about Arizona. I have them taking the best defensive player in round 1 and selecting Kizer in round 2. I don't see any way he gets selected in round 1, but who knows? I could be surprised. I see no way to repair the Cousins/Washington rift. I believe he plays out this year and moves on via free agency in 2018, since Washington can't franchise him anymore. I think he will have several suitors, but will end up in Frisco. I think Washington knows this and will take his replacement. I have them taking DeShaun Watson at #17. I don't see the Niners taking a QB too high, because they wanna get it right and they know they have a good shot at Cousins in 2018. If they do take a QB, I think it will be on day 3. I don't see the Jets taking a QB. They have several developmental QB's already on their roster and since there is no standout QB's in this draft and they are in total rebuild, I believe they will roll with Josh McCown in 2017 and focus on a true franchise QB in 2018. I believe they will be favorites to land Sam Darnold. New Orleans is intriguing. I see them taking the best DE on the board at #11 and seeing who falls to #32. I believe they are gonna target Mahomes with that pick and then take a CB in round 2. I believe the Bills are a wildcard. They actually made Taylor take a huge pay cut to stay with the team and made it a lot easier to cut him at the end of the 2017 season. For some reason they are doing everything in their power to distance themselves from him. It'll be interesting to see what Cleveland does. It's almost a certainty they will take Garrett #1, but I know they love Trubisky. Do they wait to try and get him at pick #12 or do they try to trade up and get ahead of teams like New Orleans, Buffalo, the Jets and maybe even San Diego to land him? |
