2.  Thing is, you can be vindicated by controversial decisions at times.  TC got a lot of flak for drafting Marcus Stroud over Kenyatta Walker in 2001.  Kiper trashed him for it.  Jaguars fans and media trashed him for it.  I know when Polian picked Edgerrin James over Ricky Williams, that raised a few eyebrows.  In Philly, when they chose Donovan McNabb over Ricky Williams that same year, it was a huge controversy.  The texans cought heat for taking Mario Williams  over Reggie Bush and Vince Young.  As it turns out, Casserly was right.

 

If you can't trade down, take the guy you want and deal with the blow back later.  But don't everything by passing.

 

 

1. I know, but I fully believe the 49'ers are targeting Thomas with the #2 pick and B, I'm one of the few people on this board who is not sold at all on him. I have several DE's ahead of him. I just don't see an elite pass rusher when I watch him play. I think he's a 4-6 sack guy in the NFL and that's not worth a top 5 pick. 

 

2. In any case, Lamp is the top player on my board. He's who I would select with our top pick, by any means necessary.
