If Solomon Thomas is off the board...

Quote:Agreed on Arizona.  Kizer could go there in either of the first two rounds...but if he's still on the board in round two, I don't see how Arizona passes on him again.

I agree with you on the Jets.  They have spent a lot of reasonably high draft capital (2nd round picks) on QBs in recent years (Geno Smith, Hackenburg).  I think they will let Hackenburg or McCown get beat up behind a makeshift OL and next year the Jets will take one of the franchise guys next year. barring miraculous development from Hackenburg.  But if you are a team beneath them, do you risk standing pat and having them take your guy?

To me, Cleveland is the true wildcard.  Right now, the talk is that the Patriots will not trade Garoppolo.  Perhaps this is to drive up his value, or perhaps this is because Belicheck and the Pats actually see him as the heir apparent to Brady.  However, with the recent trades, the Pats have no picks in the first two rounds, while Cleveland has a bumper crop of picks in the first two rounds the next two years. 12 is a good spot for one of the QBs.  Or if their reported interest in Garoppolo is true, maybe they deal that pick to New England, or maybe they deal picks to move ahead of the Jets.

With Cleveland, I think they are dead set on Garoppolo or Trubisky. With Jimmy G. apparently off the table, they are very likely to trade up and secure Trubisky. If we could get that #12 pick from them, I'd snap up Forest Lamp in record time.
