2. In any case, Lamp is the top player on my board. He's who I would select with our top pick, by any means necessary. 

I am a Solomon Thomas fan.  I don't necessarily see a double digit sack guy when I see him, but I see a guy who could consistently give you 8-10 sacks a year, versatility, and leadership.

 

When I think of Lamp, I am reminded of Matt Light.  Light played T at Purdue, but due to arm length, many scouts viewed him more as a G.  Not an overly big or dominating run blocker, Light definitely had the feet and technique to be a great pass protector for a long time.  That is who I see when I see Lamp.  I think Lamp has the feet to be a good pass protecting LT.  The only things working against him are arm length/weight and, to a lesser degree, coming from Western Kentucky.  But that latter point is mitigated a great deal by his performance against Alabama.

 

My ideal scenario is that somehow, like Light was some 16 years ago, Lamp will be around at the top of the 2nd round and we snap him up.
