He's not being punished for running through opens gaps. Just bears mentioning that he rarely if ever faced a good defense and it shows on the field. He doesn't have much wiggle, he doesn't have much moves, he doesn't break tackles like you would like him to. Very good home run hitter though, that's at least one area where he excels.

 

 

How is he supposed to show "wiggle" when he has open running lanes? You don't need to show many moves when you just need to run through open holes. It doesn't mean he doesn't possess those moves. It just means he doesn't need to use them. The same goes for his pass catching. They never threw him the ball in college, but it doesn't mean he can't catch. I believe he's gonna be the best NFL RB in this class. I can't wait to see this guy in the NFL.
