Take into account taxes for other things besides income, and the number is even higher. As an example, when people put fuel into their cars they look at the price and think "greedy oil companies" without thinking about how much of that price is tax. The same goes for your electric bill, your gas/water/sewage/garbage/etc. bill. Want to travel a bit? Take a close look at your airline and/or cruise ship bill. How about the hotel bill? Heck, for that matter take a look at your ticket to a Jaguars game. EVERYTHING is taxed. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
