"...with a weapon so badly..." Come on. He was spanking his boy with a switch... but he accidentally let it reach too far and the tip of the switch wrapped around. It was unfortunate and frowned upon, but it wasn't the same thing at all.


 

With Mixon we're talking about a strong football player accustomed to getting hit often, and when some little girl tries to smack him, he opts to knock her out and bust open her face with vicious punch.


 

There is no defending what Mixon did.
