Despite coming down with an interception in the 4th QTR of the pre-season game against the Jaguars the other night, as expected ( at least on this end ) the Lions released Jonte Green. The Lions did Green a favor by cutting him today instead of after the final pre-season game. This way, he can potentially latch on to another NFL roster before the final pre-season game that they play. It won't surprise me in the least if the Jaguars or another team high up in the waiver claim priority process claims Green off waivers. If not, I think he will be on an NFL Practice Squad next week. The new P.S. rules enable Green to be P.S. eligible.
