What happened to the Trump/Russia talk?

#52

So..... this is the news article information-

The email chain posted by Mr Trump Jr shows:
-On 3 June last year he received an email from intermediary Mr Goldstone promising documents from Russia that would incriminate Hillary Clinton and her supposed dealings with Russia.

-One email from Mr Goldstone said the information they had been promised was "obviously very high-level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr Trump"

-The person who was to meet Mr Trump Jr in New York was described as "a Russian government attorney who is flying over from Moscow"

-Within the week, a meeting had been arranged which included Mr Trump Jr, Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort

So some 'Russian high level official' from the "crown prosecutor of Russia," a position that doesn't exist, sends an email(s) to a publicist who then forwards the email(s) to the Trump people about stuff that might be inflammatory toward Clinton. They then meet with a Russian attorney who has "been linked to" the Russian government but had no credible information.

So where is this damaging information? Because if there was some the MSM would be howling from the rooftops. As it is it seems like they're trying to put a puzzle together. I get that collusion on it's own is not good, but it's already been pointed out that information can be offered to a campaign as long as no money was paid for it which is a whole other story. There seems to be a lot of circumstantial 'evidence' with nothing really happening.

If there was wrongdoing then people should be brought to justice. I just think the damn media needs to let whoever do their job without constant interference. How is our government supposed to do their actual job of running this country if this is what is constantly being "reported" and the media is constantly looking to politicians for information (dirt) or to be on their shows or some such nonsense?
