What happened to the Trump/Russia talk?

You won’t be hearing that one much anymore.
The best defense on offer now is a claim that it is not illegal, per se, to collude with a hostile foreign power in an American election. That spin is so bad that not even true believers can fully abide it. It may not be illegal, but it is certainly shameful.
Now, like the rest of the country, Republicans in Congress are left to wonder what else is out there – what else is the campaign hiding?"

Is Russia listed by the US government as a "hostile foreign power?"

Is China? France?

Is there some official list?

Remember when Obama scoffed at Romney for suggesting that Russia was our biggest global threat?

Democrats didn't see Russia as a threat to anything until November 10, 2016, at which time they were scrambling to come up with excuses for why they lost the presidential election while being completely unwilling to accept the fact that they just rigged a nomination process to put arguably the crappiest candidate to ever run for the office up against a pretty bad one in Donald Trump.

We've spent the last 9 months since the election watching the media continue to deny what transpired on election day, convinced that something had to be rigged.  The collective outrage is pretty entertaining.  It's somewhat strange that none of them seemed to care an iota about an ACTUAL rigged election when they greased the skids to make sure Hillary won the nomination despite the fact that she was getting trounced repeatedly by a geriatric socialist who pretty much ran on a lark.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
