I've always been lukewarm about trump but my mom loves him. I was curious what the rally was going to accomplish and what of anything would come of it. We arrived from the hotel roughly around 8:30am that morning. By the time we made our way to end the of the national mall you could only see the stage off in a distance. I have never seen such a concentration of people in one place.

It was clear Washington didn't want us there from the start. There was no bathrooms everything was boarded up as you walked in and the only police where on rooftops. The crowd was rowdy, it was clear there where agitators you could spot them. At one point and older man dressed in Vietnam camo and wearing a Vietnam hat  started trying to rowdy the crowd up this was hours before the first speaker.

I remember seeing the guys dressed up in the videos you see marching up the capital as I walked in. I thought they looked ridiculous at the time why where they in military gear for the rally was my thought. Later I saw footage of them going up the capital stairs hands on shoulder just like they marched as we walked in.

We tried to get closer to the stage but it was just to packed I didn't want to squeeze my kids through the crowd so we stood at the end of the Washington memorial. The local Spanish news network saw my Spanish mother and thought she was a protester (even though she was decked out head to toe in American flag clothing and wearing a trump hat lol). I don't know what they said it was on Spanish and I never learned Spanish (long story) mom said they just kept trying to bait her into saying something about the crowd being racist or hating trump. Which was ridiculous there was tons of different people there, hell I even saw a gay for trump flag walking around.

That said this wasn't your religious right crowd. There was some prayer groups around but they where out numbers 10 to 1 by angry FJB flags. The crowd was a powder keg anyone denying that is lying.

I couldn't hear most of what trump said but I did hear him say we're going to march to the capital and make ourselves heard. The speakers before him also did there best to lead the crowd on to believe pence had some power. I remember telling mom that's not how it works pence can't do anything what are they talking about?

I was very disappointed on our trip, I took two of my kids to show them in America we have the right and responsibility to peacefully protest when we disagree with our government. It was a big reason how my family came to America, both sets of my grandparents left their home country with my parents because they suffered persecution for being on the other side of government. I went to Washington to be heard not to be lied to and watch the right become as vulgar and nasty as the left. It was at that rally I walked away from trump and said never again. But it wasn't an insurection. That crowd was big enough and mad enough if he wanted to storm the capital and hang everyone there the national guarded couldn't have stopped it in time.

I believe 100% it was a setup and Trump along with the rest of us where stupid enough to take the bait hook line and sinker. I blame Trump for making no attempt to settle down a rowdy crowd. He nee it everyone there new it, if only 10% of the crowd got worked up they're was no one to stop them. When they said march to capital I looked at my wife and mother grabbed the kids and said time to go. We heard about the capital stuff on the radio and made it out of town as they where shutting down Washington. I felt sick the whole way home. I new and still believe I was watching the begging of the end.

The country's to far gone. I've been told this story my family has lived it, the ending sucks. I can't go into detail on what I believe with violating the coc but let's just say my family will be ready.

I actually agree with most of what you are saying.  I agree with your reasons for being there and your reactions.
The rally you attended on the ellipse was not an insurrection.  Most of the people at that rally were not bad guys.  Most of them did not go to the Capitol.
The insurrection was at the Capitol, not the ellipse.   I've seen multiple first person videos of people walking from the ellipse to the Capitol after the speeches were over.  There were men on the Capitol lawn telling the people coming from the speech to turn around if you're not ready to get violent.
I don't think it was a "setup" because Trump wanted the violent oathkeepers and proud boys there just as much as he wanted you there. Trump knew what he was trying to do, even if you didnt.

Your hatred of Trump blinds you to the reality of the situation.  You're obsessed with labeling this as an insurrection and holding him responsible.

Our form of government says that 50 states turn in electoral votes and Congress counts them.
The insurrectionists wanted to create a new form of government where a violent crowd gets to tell Congress to ignore what the states sent in and declare the crowd's man the winner.

I was originally wondering how you could possess such specific knowledge of Trump's private thoughts and intentions.  I thought perhaps he sent you an email, then I remembered he's living in your head.  Is it just a rental?  It sounds like he owns the place.

So, the "new form of government" would still have a Congress and states?  Not exactly the "Dictator's Guide To Insurrection, How To Overthrow The Government In 5 Easy Steps" .  You're digging yourself into a deeper hole with every post.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
