Lawrence finished the 2023 season with 4,016 yards passing with 21 passing TDs. 

It marks the first time in Jaguars history a player had back to back 4,000 yard seasons.

Lawrence also joins Blake Bortles as the only QBs in franchise history to have back to back seasons with 20 or more TDs. 

In 3 seasons, Lawrence has 58 TD passes to 39 interceptions, with 11 rushing TDs for a total of 69 TDs which is the 2nd most in franchise history across 3 seasons. (Bortles had 74)

Evan Engram with a monster season. 114 receptions with 963 receiving yards and 4 TDs, 2 shy of the franchise record. He registered 4 or more receptions in every game, joining Jimmy Smith as the only 2 players in franchise history. Engram’s 114 receptions are the 2nd most receptions in franchise history for a single-season, and a franchise TE record. Engram set a new Tight End franchise record with 963 receiving yards, breaking his own record that he set in 2022.

Foyesade Oluokun finished the 2023 season with 1 more solo tackle than Franklin, but Franklin finished the season with more total tackles. Congratulations to Foye for another monster season, and for scoring his first TD. 

Oluokun last 3 seasons - 338 solo tackles, which leads all players in the NFL. 

Josh Allen should have 18.5 sacks but with that bogus penalty, he will wrap up his season with 17.5 sacks and he added an interception. It was by far the best defensive season in franchise history. 

Off the top of my head: Allen, Henderson, Stroud, Campbell, and Ramsey are the only defensive players in franchise history to have 2 or more pro bowl selections. 

Walker got his 10th sack of the season, which marks just a handful of times the Jaguars have had 2 players with double digit sacks. 

Ridley got his 1,000 yards and scored 8 TDs, which lead the team in both categories. If Kirk stayed healthy, I believe both WRs would have eclipsed the 1k mark which would have been just the 3rd set of receivers to have 1,000 receiving yards in the same season (Smith/McCardell, and Hurns/Robinson)

Etienne finished the season with 1,008 yards rushing with 13 TDs. It’s the 3rd time in franchise history that a RB had back to back 1,000 yard seasons. (Taylor and Jones-Drew) Etienne is only the 4th RB in franchise history to have 10 or more rushing TDs in a single season. (Stewart, Taylor, Jones-Drew)

Cisco finished with 4 ints, which is the most by a Jaguars safety since Darius had 5, 19 years ago in 2004. Cisco’s 4 interceptions ties him with Sammy Knight also had 4 in 2007, for the 2nd most interceptions in a single season by a safety. 

The Jaguars finished the season with more wins than losses for the 2nd season in a row.

Coach Pederson joins Del Rio and Coughlin as the only coaches in team history to have back to back winning seasons. Coughlin had 4 in a row, Del Rio had 2 in a row, Pederson now has 2 in a row.

We missed the playoffs, maybe it was the holding call against Arden Key that called the Etienne TD back. We would have still had to convert the 2 point conversion and hope to win in overtime. Or maybe Trevor just didn’t jump far enough on the sneak. However you want to look at it is fine, BUT as a life long Jaguars fan, it’s nice to be a winning franchise again. I’m enjoying it while it last, because those 1-15 seasons ain’t too far in our past. 

Let’s hit the draft and sure up the lines of scrimmage, get the guys healthy, and see what we can do in free agency and gear up for 2024.

Lawrence gutted it out for this franchise all season. That was a dime piece he threw to Ridley. Bortles, Garrard, Jabbert, can’t make those types of throws. 

The culture is right. Let’s move some pieces around and get back at it next season.
